VINTAGE 2008 VARIETY 100% Barbera TASTING NOTES Colour: deep ruby red ruby Scents: austere and elegant nose f plumand cherry, with notes of spice and undergrowth, very fine woody hints with ethereal notes. Taste: thick, juicy, itense and flavourful. Well structured and with fresh acidity, soft and warm, with a good finish due to delicate and sweet tannins. Food matches: ideal with roast meats, game and mature chesses. CHARACTHERISTICS OF THE PRODUCTION AREA Production area: Mombaruzzo and Ricaldone municipalities. Planted area: 5 ha. Year of planting:1980. Expoure: south-east/south-west. Altitude: 300 mt. M.A.S.L. Soil: clayey-silty Density planting: 5000 plants/ha. Training system: counter-espalier with guyot pruning. Harvest date: the first ten days of October Yield per hectare: 70 quintals/hectare. Harvest: manual. Year weather pattern: avernge hot and humid. VINIFICATION AND AGING Crushing: crushing and de-stemming F ermentation containers: stainless steel under controlled temperature.
