The farm was created in 1995 on the former farm of Giribaldi in one of the most beautiful mountainous areas of Piemonte. The farmhouse has been completely restructured, while preserving its original structure dating from the 19th century, with the intention of creating a cellar of great value. Initially, the company was managed, with a lot of passion and enthusiasm, by Mariagrazia Macchi, who in a few years succeeded in establishing himself as a producer of excellent quality.
In 1999, his son Emanuele Colombo joined the company and now personally supervises all production processes, from the vine to the marketing of products, even on international markets. To this day, the companys choices have remained the same as they were then, and they all point in one direction, towards a single objective: obtaining absolute quality and safeguarding those unique and typical characteristics that distinguish the territory of Southern Asti and its products, first and foremost the wine.
Emanueles work is based on the collaboration of Piedmont oenologist Beppe Caviola and since 2010 on his friend Matteo Graziano. The current size of the companys vineyard is approximately 9 hectares owned plus 2 leased. The league teams of the property are the Bricco Castellaro in the municipality of Vaglio Serra, in the heart of the classical area Barbera dAsti. In the nearby Monte del Mare region, in the Val Sarmassa Natural Park, between the municipalities of Vinchio and Vaglio Serra, about 3 hectares of Barbera have been planted in recent years. In the community of Calamandrana in Frazione San Vito there are Moscato, Sauvignon and an old vineyard Barbera.
