The future has ancient roots. That of Amistà sinks into the hills of Monferrato, between Nizza, San Marzano Oliveto and Moasca: twelve hectares of vineyards with an average age of sixty years, with peaks of ninety. This is the starting point for the challenge brought forward by Michele Marsiaj, the entrepreneurial soul of Amistà. Marsiaj boasts over ten years of experience in the wine sector: in 2009, with his friend Stefano Moccagatta, he founded Ottosoldi, a brand that is exclusively identified worldwide with Gavi Docg production reserved for a niche market. This time Marsiaj focuses on red, always with the same philosophy: only native vines, low Docg production to guarantee superior quality. Here, then, are the Nizza Vigna and Nizza Vigna Riserva: wines that stand out for their balance and elegance, representing a further step forward in the process of ennobling Barbera Docg. In this challenge Marsiaj is flanked by Massimiliano Vivalda, an agricultural entrepreneur, son of these hills and profound connoisseur of the terroir: the starting point for projecting tradition towards new horizons through innovation. Today, in Amistà this process is expressed in the complete adhesion to the green philosophy and in the use of the most advanced technologies of Agriculture 4.0. It is also expressed in the commitment to strengthen the brands international vocation with a view to marketing the territory: with its Nizza Vigna and Nizza Vigna Riserva, Amistà offers not only a taste experience, but an opportunity to learn more about and appreciate an environment, a history and a culture recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
